Synopsis
FLCL (2000), Season 1 is the Gainax cult anime you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes of pure controlled chaos. Twelve-year-old Naota swears nothing ever happens in his dead-end town.
Then a redhead named Haruko plows into him on a yellow Vespa, cracks him across the skull with a bass guitar, and battle robots start erupting out of his head. The season never slows down. Haruko moves in as the family housemaid, the robot Canti comes to life, class president Ninamori drags Naota into rigged-election drama, and Commander Amarao watches it all, convinced Medical Mechanica wants to flatten the planet. Under the absurdity sits something honest about being twelve — the embarrassment, the ache, the impossibility of growing up.
