Before he died, the brilliant Kenny McCormick built a time machine and left his friends one job: go back forty years and stop COVID from ever happening. The catch is that adult Stan and Kyle can barely stand each other, and Rabbi Eric Cartman, now happily married, has no interest in becoming a fourth-grader again. Along the way the special finally answers who killed Kenny and what became of Butters, while a figure named Victor Chaos waits to derail the whole trip.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone keep aiming their satire at whatever stings most right now, from remote work to the endless parade of movie sequels.
