Synopsis
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 1 — watch online on iFILM. Ten episodes of Paramount+ sci-fi that returns to the USS Enterprise before Captain Kirk ever set foot on the bridge.
Captain Christopher Pike has seen his own death. That foreknowledge drives him into self-imposed exile — until Number One vanishes on a classified mission and he has no choice but to take command again. What follows is closer to an anthology than a serialised arc: a comet threatening an inhabited world, a shipboard contagion that forces Number One to reveal an illegal secret, a Gorn ambush that shatters a colony and leaves the security chief shaken, a space pirate who takes Spock hostage. The crew takes shape episode by episode — Spock caught between Vulcan discipline and human instinct, La'an carrying a surname that marks her as dangerous, Una hiding an identity that violates Federation law.

While on a survey mission, the U.S.S. Enterprise discovers a comet is going to strike an inhabited planet. They try to re-route the comet, only to find that an ancient alien relic buried on the comet’s icy surface is somehow stopping them. As the away team try to unlock the relic’s secrets, Pike and Number One deal with a group of zealots who want to prevent the U.S.S. Enterprise from interfering.
