Synopsis
Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway (2021), Season 1 is a 13-episode anime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Walking home after his crush turns him down, 26-year-old salaryman Yoshida finds a runaway high schooler, Sayu, sitting under a streetlight.
He can't leave her on the road, so the two end up sharing his apartment — an awkward, deliberately un-romantic arrangement. The season builds quietly. First the small stuff: a phone, a part-time job, nosy coworkers. Then the past Sayu fled starts catching up with her, and her family closes in on where she's hiding. The back half drops the lighter tone: her brother tracks her down, the reason she ran finally comes out, and both of them have to weigh what these months actually meant.
