Synopsis

Emma announces she's done with horror, and the same night a childhood friend brings news that drags her back to the seaside town of Elden whether she likes it or not. Waiting there is a woman who insists she is Marianne — a witch who feeds on fear and grows stronger every time someone reads about her, demanding Emma keep writing. The season pries open an old wound: a ritual the friends performed at school fifteen years ago, and the price still owed. A strange local inspector, Ronan, starts lining the novels up against real deaths. Not everyone holds together once the island closes in.
