Synopsis
Cutie Honey (2004) is Hideaki Anno's live-action superhero romp, ready to watch online on iFILM. Honey Kisaragi is an android who can change her shape in a flash — and when a crime syndicate called Panther Claw abducts her uncle, she suits up to get him back.
Saving him means taking on the gang's four deadly 'claws' across Tokyo. Honey picks up two reluctant allies along the way: icy police officer Natsuko Aki and a brash journalist, Seiji Hayami. Eriko Sato plays the heroine like a cartoon sprung to life — bright, goofy, perpetually hungry and impossible to stop.
Anno, the mind behind Evangelion, adapts Go Nagai's manga in deliberately kitschy, candy-colored style, with sight gags and hand-drawn flourishes spilling across the screen. It's one for fans of Japanese tokusatsu and pure camp, not grounded action. Stream Cutie Honey (2004) online on iFILM.
