She and her roommate share everything: the apartment, the future, the daily mess. Then the roommate marries and moves out. Just like that. What follows is quieter than a breakup and harder to shake — Susan working out what her life looks like with only herself to answer to. No big dramatic turns. Just the texture of being young and alone in New York, circa 1978.
