Synopsis

Everyone shows up to forget their troubles and chase a fling, and chaos follows: beach games, silly contests, awkward introductions and affairs that last about as long as a tan. Thierry Lhermitte, Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Josiane Balasko and Michel Blanc play vacationers whose attempts to seem carefree collapse into one embarrassment after another.
The film grew out of a stage show by the Paris troupe Le Splendid and turned into a national cult hit, spawning sequels that generations have been quoting ever since.
