Synopsis
The Boy Who Could Fly (1986) is a family fantasy drama from Nick Castle, free to watch online on iFILM. After their father's death, Milly moves with her mother and little brother to a new neighborhood and tries to start over.
Next door lives Eric, an autistic teenager who hasn't spoken since his parents died in a plane crash and spends hours perched on the roof's edge, arms spread as if about to take off. Milly is the only one willing to reach him. The bond they form quietly reshapes her family and the whole block, blurring the line between a child's belief and a real miracle.
Nick Castle — who co-wrote Escape from New York and wore the mask as Michael Myers in the original Halloween — directs a gentle fable about grief, friendship and imagination. Watch for a young Fred Savage and Fred Gwynne in supporting roles. It's warm, nostalgic eighties cinema built for a family evening. Stream The Boy Who Could Fly online on iFILM.
