Season 9
Synopsis
Inside No. 9 (2014), Season 9 watch online on iFILM — the final run of the BBC dark-comedy anthology, six last stories behind the door marked nine. A show built around number nine bows out on its ninth series.
The invention never lets up. Late-night passengers are trapped in a tunnel when their train dies, and a stolen purse turns the wait into a study of who these people really are. Blake talks a stranger off a bridge, then makes the questionable choice of bringing him home. A new couple settles into 9 Mulberry Close while the neighbours start listening to the noises through the wall. A family books an escape room called The Killer's Lair, an Edwardian piano-tuner runs headlong into a centuries-old curse, and the finale belongs to Pemberton and Shearsmith themselves.
Each story still sets its trap and springs it when you least expect it, and for the send-off the pair pack in comedy, gothic horror and something close to kitchen-sink drama. A fitting last word from one of the most inventive British shows of its decade. Stream Inside No. 9 Season 9 online on iFILM.
