Synopsis
Black Lotus (2023) is a no-frills action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Todor Chapkanov, the film puts Dutch MMA champion Rico Verhoeven in the role of Matteo Donner, an ex-special forces operative who's been drifting since his best friend was killed on a joint mission. Amsterdam pulls him back — and straight into a gang war he didn't ask for.
The job is simple and ugly: a crime syndicate has taken his dead friend's daughter, and Donner goes after them alone. Frank Grillo and Peter Franzén give the opposition some real teeth. The film doesn't try to be anything it isn't — the story is lean, the action is practical, and Verhoeven's fighting background shows in every sequence.
