Synopsis

The work this season runs strange. Someone breaks into the city's mortuaries and frames Eliza for it, forcing her into hiding while the Duke hunts for another suspect. A stolen Darwin sketch turns out to be more than insurance fraud, a blackmail ring hides inside Victorian medicine, and a string of killings starts copying scenes from a famous mystery novelist's books. Into all this walks Patrick Nash, who runs a big rival agency and can't decide whether to recruit Eliza or bury her. Underneath it, the thing between her and the Duke stops being deniable.
