Synopsis
Angus (1995) is a teen comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Angus is a big, awkward fourteen-year-old who spends most of his waking hours quietly pining for Melissa Lefevre, the prettiest girl in school and hopelessly out of his league.
Then the school's golden boy rigs the vote so Angus is crowned king of the Winter Ball, paired to slow-dance with Melissa all night. It's a setup built for humiliation — one small problem, Angus can't dance a step. His loyal, motor-mouthed best friend decides to remake him anyway, and Angus chooses to show up instead of hiding. The supporting bench is loaded: Kathy Bates as his mom, George C. Scott as his grandfather, a teenage James Van Der Beek as the bully.
Directed by Patrick Read Johnson and powered by a punk-heavy '90s soundtrack, it's an honest little film about being the kid on the outside. Easy to love if school ever singled you out for no good reason. Stream Angus online on iFILM.
