The island carries an old piece of folklore about shadows — doubles of living people that appear before someone dies. Shinpei never took it seriously. Then his other sister Mio tells him she saw Ushio's exact double three days before the drowning. What starts as grief turns into survival, with rules that shift faster than they can be understood.

The 25-episode run handles its time-loop mechanics with more discipline than most anime in the genre, and the horror elements land harder than the packaging suggests.
