Parasyte -the maxim- (Season 1)

Parasyte -the maxim- (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, 2014) is a Japanese anime series you can watch online on iFILM, produced by Madhouse and based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's manga. High schooler Shinichi Izumi was supposed to be a host. A parasitic alien tried to burrow into his brain at night — but failed, and ended up lodged in his right hand instead.

The creature, which Shinichi names Migi, learns human language in hours and thinks in pure logic. Shinichi still feels everything. They're forced into an uneasy partnership: other parasites that successfully took over their hosts see this half-merged boy as a threat, and they will come for him. Voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki and Aya Hirano, the two leads carry a series that keeps shifting between action and something harder to name.
