Season 1
The greatest of their kind.
Synopsis
Dynasties (2018), Season 1 is the David Attenborough wildlife series you can watch online on iFILM — five episodes, five endangered species, told one family at a time. Each hour drops the usual nature-doc overview and instead follows a single leader for months on end.
The whole season runs on individual animals with names and tempers. David, a chimpanzee in Senegal, clings to the top of his troop while rivals wait for him to slip. A colony of emperor penguins huddles thousands deep to outlast the harshest winter on Earth. Charm the lioness drags a thinned-out Masai Mara pride forward, a painted wolf matriarch faces a revolt from her own daughter, and the tigress Raj Bhera raises four cubs in India's Bandhavgarh reserve. Every story comes down to the same thing: keep the bloodline going or lose your place.
Filmed over several years per subject, it caught footage ordinary wildlife films miss — the internal politics of animal clans. Of everything Attenborough has narrated, this is among the most dramatic and the most personal. Stream Dynasties Season 1 online on iFILM.
