Synopsis
Dynasties (2018) is a BBC nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough that you can watch online on iFILM. Five episodes, five families of endangered animals, filmed not as wildlife in general but as the living chronicle of a single bloodline.
Each episode stays with one group and its leader: a chimpanzee facing a challenge to his rule, emperor penguins enduring an Antarctic winter, a lion pride teetering on collapse, a pack of painted wolves, and a lone tigress raising cubs in the Indian forest. Camera crews lived alongside the animals for months, so the footage catches what usually stays off-screen — betrayal, exile, death, sudden tenderness.
It carries on the line opened by Planet Earth and Blue Planet, but shot closer and more personal: fewer sweeping vistas, more fate. Attenborough narrates without pushing, which makes the end of each story land harder than most scripted drama. Good for the whole family, and for anyone tired of staged tension who wants the real thing. Stream Dynasties (2018) online on iFILM.
