Synopsis
Next Day Air (2009) is a crime comedy-thriller from director Benny Boom, available to watch online on iFILM. A spaced-out courier mixes up apartments and drops a box stuffed with cocaine bricks on the wrong doorstep. Everything goes sideways from there.
Two small-time losers figure they've won the lottery and rush to flip a stash that was never theirs. Trouble is, the real dealer is waiting on that package, and his buyer is the kind of man who doesn't accept excuses. Across a lean 84 minutes the film yanks together a careless delivery guy, a ring of dealers and a couple of fools, each grabbing for the same box. The cast includes Donald Faison, Mike Epps, Wood Harris and Yasiin Bey.
Benny Boom came up directing music videos, and it shows in the pace — short, mean and unsentimental about its characters. The ending lands like a punch rather than a hug.
