Synopsis
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (2021) is Keishi Otomo's live-action samurai action film you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1879, deep in the Meiji era, and former assassin Kenshin Himura has long traded killing for a quiet life — until the past comes hunting him by name.
The Akabeko, his favorite restaurant, is left in ruins, with a single note in the ashes bearing the character for "junchu," revenge. Behind the strike is Enishi Yukishiro, the younger brother of Kenshin's late wife, who blames the swordsman for her death and has spent years building toward payback. Now, with a crew of mercenaries, he methodically tears down everything Kenshin loves, starting with Kaoru Kamiya and her sword school. Takeru Sato returns in the lead, Mackenyu Arata plays Enishi, and Kenshin's reverse-blade has to come out far more often than he'd like.
This penultimate chapter, drawn from Nobuhiro Watsuki's cult manga, has the sharpest fight staging of the whole five-film run: long takes, real stunt work, almost no cutting to hide the choreography. It's built for anime fans and anyone who values honest swordplay on screen. Stream Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (2021) online on iFILM.
