Synopsis
Sweet Dreams (1985) is a biographical music drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Karel Reisz cast Jessica Lange as country legend Patsy Cline — a performance that landed her an Academy Award nomination — with Ed Harris playing Charlie Dick, the volatile, unpredictable man she left her first marriage for.
The story opens in 1956. Patsy is singing at small-town venues and pushing her way toward Nashville. Charlie is passion and chaos in equal measure: fights, tenderness, things she can't explain to herself. Her career climbs through radio play and touring, her voice cutting through everything else in the room. What fame costs her is another matter entirely.
