Synopsis
The War of the Worlds (2019), Season 1 is a three-episode BBC sci-fi drama you can watch online on iFILM, set in Edwardian England rather than the present day.
A Martian capsule comes down near Woking in 1905. George and Amy join the crowd that gathers to gawk at it, and within hours the country is on fire. Separated in the panic, George crosses a landscape filling with more capsules as he searches for her, while Amy fights to stay alive and starts working out what might actually stop the invaders. With only three episodes, the dread never lets up.
