The deeper Joanna digs, the more obvious it becomes that someone wants the outbreak buried. The case drags her own past back to the surface and forces her to rethink whose side she is actually on. Episode by episode the courtroom procedural widens into a story about a small town, corporate cover-ups and family secrets.
