Synopsis

A stranger drifts into the quiet village of Neunggun-ri: Jang-hyun, sharp-tongued and attached to no one. Gil-chae, the beauty everyone admires, loves someone else — Yeon-jun, already promised to her closest friend. It could have stayed a simple triangle. War ends that. Villages burn, captives are dragged north to Simyang, and the four are scattered, only to keep finding each other at slave markets and inside palace schemes.
