Synopsis
The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin (2024) is a British Apple TV+ comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. The famous highwayman gets drafted, very much against his will, as the reluctant boss of a hopeless gang of outlaws.
Played by Noel Fielding, this Dick Turpin is the least menacing robber on the open road — great hair, vegetarian, zero villainous instinct. Somehow the gang follows him anyway, while a thoroughly corrupt thief-taker named Jonathan Wilde, played by Hugh Bonneville, hunts them down. The show calls itself made-up for good reason: it treats 18th-century history with cheerful contempt.
