Synopsis
The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (1998) is a family animated feature you can watch online on iFILM. Robert C. Ramirez directs this sequel about a band of living household gadgets, loosely drawn from Thomas M. Disch's book.
Years on, owner Rob has grown up, married, and welcomed a baby named Robby. Toaster, Lamp, Radio, Kirby the vacuum and Blanky the electric blanket dote on the infant — right up until a rival crew of appliances, led by a towering Refrigerator, snatches him and beams him off to Mars. So the loyal little gadgets launch into space to bring him home, picking up oddball recruits along the way, from a rattly fan to a snooty microwave and a chatty calculator.
Though billed as the third chapter, it actually reached audiences before The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue. The voice cast slips in Farrah Fawcett and DeForest Kelley, Star Trek's own Dr. McCoy. A gentle 73-minute throwback for a quiet night with the kids. Stream it online on iFILM.
