Life's Too Short (2011), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM, 7 episodes of the BBC mockumentary co-created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The premise is stripped back: Warwick Davis, a dwarf actor whose career is stalling, opens his life to a documentary crew and discovers there is not much to show for it — his wife is filing for divorce and the tax bill is enormous.
The disasters stack up episode by episode. Johnny Depp hires him as a research consultant; Helena Bonham Carter offers him a supporting role. Warwick launches a talent agency for shorter actors, then quietly steals their best jobs for himself. He campaigns to become chairman of the Society of People of Small Stature, tries a dating agency after the marriage collapses, and manages to undermine himself at every celebrity party he crashes.
