Tierra (Earth, 1996) is a Spanish drama from director Julio Medem — watch it online on iFILM. Angel arrives in a small wine-producing region on a specific job: eliminate the woodlice breeding in the soil and giving the local harvest a bitter, earthy aftertaste. He is also, with complete sincerity, convinced that he is half-human and half-angel. Half-alive and something in between.

In the town he meets two women: Angela, quiet and married, who draws him toward the stable and the real; and Maria, who doesn't do quiet under any circumstances. Carmelo Gómez and Emma Suárez anchor a film where Medem refuses to arbitrate between mysticism and desire.
