Director Chava Cartas keeps it breezy, turning the chaos into a coming-of-age story about staying yourself when everybody else has already decided who you should be. Berenice Jonguitud carries it with the awkward charm of a kid boxed in by other people's expectations. It's light, warm family-night viewing, and it lands hardest for anyone who's survived a prom or an overblown relative-packed celebration of their own.
