Synopsis
Homo Argentum (2025) is an Argentine comedy you can watch online on iFILM — 98 minutes structured as sixteen short films, each a pointed snapshot of life in the city.
Every character is convinced they're acting reasonably, generously, and with full self-awareness. None of them are. Directors Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, who previously delivered the internationally acclaimed El ciudadano ilustre, apply the same dry comedic x-ray here: the gap between how Argentines see themselves and how they actually behave, rendered in brief, deadpan vignettes. Guillermo Francella heads a large ensemble cast. The targets are specific enough to be local and universal enough to travel.
