Synopsis
The Mummy's Tomb (1942) is a Universal Pictures horror sequel you can watch online on iFILM. Director Harold Young wraps the story in a brisk 60 minutes: high priest Mehemet Bey (Turhan Bey) arrives in Massachusetts with the mummy Kharis, carrying out a three-decade-old death sentence against the Banning family who raided an Egyptian tomb.
Lon Chaney Jr. plays Kharis under heavy bandaging — no lines, just a slow, relentless advance. George Zucco reprises his scheming elder priest in flashback, and Turhan Bey makes Mehemet Bey surprisingly watchable for a character whose only job is to point the monster at people.
