Synopsis

Kojak (1973), Season 5 — watch all 22 episodes of the NYPD detective drama online on iFILM. The fifth and final run for Lieutenant Theo Kojak, bald, blunt, and perpetually short on patience for bad cops.

Late-seventies New York runs on graft and shortcuts. Each episode brings a standalone case: a gangster's girlfriend is the sole witness to a cop's murder; a detective suspects his ex-wife's lawyer hired an arsonist; a surgeon performs unnecessary operations to cover gambling debts. A serial killer Kojak thought he'd stopped eight years ago turns out to still be active. He gets suspended twice and works the cases anyway. Crocker falls for a mobster's widow. A district attorney lets a known killer walk, and Kojak reacts badly.

Telly Savalas carries all twenty-two episodes on personality alone, and that quality sets this procedural apart from most crime shows of the decade. Stream Kojak Season 5 online on iFILM.
