Race car driver Alex Furlong dies in a crash in 1991 — or should have. The ultra-wealthy have found a way around death: transplant their consciousness into someone else. Alex was handpicked as the vessel. Now he's a freejack — a fugitive in a city that hunts him for profit. Mick Jagger plays Vacendak, the bounty hunter tasked with bringing him in. Hopkins is the corporate titan who ordered the whole operation.

Based on the novel Immortality, Inc. by Robert Sheckley, the film delivers its dystopia as a straight-ahead chase thriller — gritty, fast and not interested in over-explaining the science.
