Synopsis

Man-Thing (2005) is a Marvel horror-fantasy directed by Brett Leonard that you can watch online on iFILM. A new sheriff, Kyle Williams (Matthew Le Nevez), arrives in the backwater town of Bywater expecting a quiet post — and immediately starts pulling bodies out of the swamp.

An oil tycoon named Schist is drilling on sacred Seminole land, and the locals warn that something old has been stirred up in the marsh. Kyle and schoolteacher Teri Elizabeth Richards (Rachel Taylor) push deeper into the wetlands to find out what's killing people. What they find is Man-Thing: a vast, shambling swamp creature whose touch incinerates anyone it senses feeling fear. Jack Thompson plays Schist with the kind of cheerful corporate contempt that makes him easy to root against.

Shot on location in the Queensland marshes rather than on a soundstage, the film gets real mileage out of its environment — the fog, the dark water, the sounds. It's a B-tier creature feature, but it leans into the ecological-horror angle harder than most Marvel adaptations of the era. Stream Man-Thing (2005) online on iFILM.
