Synopsis
A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! (2011) is a live-action fantasy comedy based on the Nickelodeon animated series — watch it online on iFILM. Drake Bell plays a 23-year-old Timmy who is still stuck in fifth grade, while the original voice cast returns: Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee reprise Cosmo and Wanda, and Cheryl Hines joins as Tootie. Directed by Savage Steve Holland.
Timmy has found a loophole: as long as he acts like a kid, he gets to keep his fairy godparents. It works — until Tootie comes back to Dimmsdale as an adult and Timmy realizes he might actually be falling for her. Growing up, it turns out, is not so easy to dodge. On top of that, oil tycoon Hugh Magnate teams up with the obsessive Mr. Crocker to steal the fairies' magic for corporate gain.
The film is aimed squarely at fans of the cartoon who grew up watching Timmy and want one more trip to Dimmsdale — nostalgia is the main engine here. Younger viewers will find a cheerful, silly fantasy romp. Stream the movie online on iFILM.
