Synopsis
King Ralph (1991) is a comedy directed by David S. Ward that you can watch online on iFILM, starring John Goodman, Peter O'Toole, and John Hurt. When a freak accident wipes out the entire British royal family in a single afternoon, the investigation turns up one surviving heir: Ralph Jones, a Las Vegas lounge singer with no money, no manners, and no idea what he's walked into.
Goodman plays Ralph with a warmth that stops the character from being a punchline. Lord Phipps (O'Toole) is tasked with turning him into a working monarch before anyone notices the difference. Standing in their way is the scheming aristocrat Graves (Hurt), who reads the new king not as a problem to manage but as an opportunity to exploit.
