Every episode is a fresh harebrained scheme that ends, without fail, in violence: a frying pan to the skull, a kick to the groin, a kitchen reduced to rubble. The comedy is crude, physical and pitched somewhere near cartoon brutality — a direct descendant of the punk humour the pair had honed on The Young Ones.

The show ran three series and built a devoted following on its reckless savagery and the chemistry of two comics who look ready to genuinely murder each other for a laugh.
