Little Wuba, heir to the monster throne, is hunted once more by his own kind, who crave the power locked inside him. On the run, the bouncing white critter falls in with a gentle giant monster named Benben and a card-cheat named Tu, who at first sees only easy cash. Far away, his adoptive parents Xiaolan and Tianyin miss the little guy badly and set out to find him before a brewing monster war tears everything apart.
