Synopsis
Samaritan Girl (사마리아, 2004) is a Korean drama directed by Kim Ki-duk — watch it online on iFILM. Two teenage girls have a plan: one sleeps with men for money while her best friend waits outside, keeping the books and watching the door. Their shared dream is a trip to Europe. It falls apart fast.
After Jae-Young dies, Yeo-Jin spirals into a quiet, unsettling act of atonement — tracking down her friend's former clients and sleeping with them herself, then returning the money. Her father is a cop. When he pieces together what his daughter is doing, he doesn't confront her. He starts following the men.
Shot in eighteen days, the film took home the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival. Kim Ki-duk structures it in three chapters, each named after a spiritual figure — a framework that turns what looks like provocation into something closer to a moral reckoning. Stark, deliberate, and not easy to shake. Stream Samaritan Girl (2004) online on iFILM.
