The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (Seasons 1–4)
Synopsis
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964–1968) — watch online on iFILM, the NBC spy series that ran four seasons and 105 episodes at the height of Cold War tension. Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) is the polished American half of the operation; Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum) is the precise, quieter Soviet. Together they work for U.N.C.L.E. — the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement — run by the dry, unflappable Mr. Waverly (Leo G. Carroll) from a headquarters beneath the streets of New York.
Each week the enemy is THRUSH: a stateless criminal organization with global ambitions and no flag to fly. The show's central premise was unusual for 1964 — an American and a Soviet, supposed adversaries, working as partners. The casting made it work: Vaughn brought ironic polish to Solo; McCallum made Kuryakin the unexpected breakout star.
The series premiered the same year Goldfinger hit cinemas. It rode the same cultural wave, and for a few years it matched Bond in popularity. Stream all seasons of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. online on iFILM.
