Synopsis
The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964) is a British Hammer horror you can watch online on iFILM. Egypt, 1900. A dig team breaks open the tomb of the pharaoh Ra-Antef, struck down three thousand years earlier by his own sorcerer brother.
The expedition's money comes from Alexander King, an American showman who looks at the sarcophagus and sees a ticket-selling spectacle rather than a relic. Ignoring every warning, he ships the find to London and announces a world tour. On opening night the lid comes off in front of the crowd — and the coffin is empty. The mummy has slipped its bonds to carry out the old prophecy, hunting down everyone who disturbed its rest one corpse at a time. Director Michael Carreras, son of Hammer's founder, runs the classic grave-robbers-versus-ancient-avenger setup.
This is pure mid-sixties Hammer: Victorian drawing rooms, blood-red color, slow-building dread instead of cheap jump scares. A genuine artifact from the years when the studio turned out gothic chillers nonstop. One for retro-horror fans and anyone collecting the classics. Stream The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964) online on iFILM.
