Synopsis

The peace is a lie. A dead druid, Harka, claws his way back from the underworld, and he means the end of everyone — Celt and Roman alike. Phelan has buried his old name in the north, raising cattle, sure the past has lost his trail. It hasn't. Cait walks deeper into her prophecy beside the half-mad Divis, while General Aulus sinks further into a magic he refuses to believe and cannot shake off. Every thread bends toward one duel: Veran against Harka.
