Firebreather

Firebreather (2010) is a Cartoon Network animated feature you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Peter Chung and based on the Image Comics series, the film follows Duncan — a sixteen-year-old whose mother is fully human and whose father is a hundred-and-twenty-foot Kaiju called Belloc.

Duncan just wants a normal high school life. His dad has other ideas: take the throne and rule all monsters. When a massive creature attacks the city, Duncan has no choice but to use both sides of what he is — human instincts and Kaiju firepower at once. The film handles its central tension (belonging nowhere, owing loyalty to two worlds) with enough action to keep younger audiences hooked and enough character work to stop adults from tuning out.
