Synopsis
Killer Bean Forever (2008) is an animated action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, written, directed and largely produced by Jeff Lew as a solo project. The 85-minute film grew out of a series of Flash animations Lew posted online in the early 2000s, which built a cult following before he turned it into a full feature.
Killer Bean is a no-name assassin sent to Beantown to shut down a gang operation. The mob boss Cappuccino scrambles to hit back with everything he has. Detective Cromwell is stuck in the crossfire — tired of the gangsters but equally uncertain what to do with a vigilante who leaves wreckage everywhere he goes. Things get more complicated when Killer Bean discovers the agency that hired him has put a contract on his head.
For a one-person indie production, the action choreography is genuinely well-staged, and the film has a deadpan sense of humour that keeps the familiar assassin plot from feeling stale. Stream Killer Bean Forever online on iFILM.
