BattleBots (Seasons 1–9)

BattleBots (2015) is a robot combat competition series you can watch online on iFILM, revived by ABC after more than a decade off air. Engineering teams design and build remote-controlled fighting machines, then put them in a hardened steel arena to destroy each other in a single-elimination tournament.

This revival dropped weight classes, so any robot can face any other — which produces genuinely unpredictable matchups and occasional upsets from smaller, faster machines. Onboard cameras mounted inside the bots show the hit from the receiving end. Chris Rose and Kenny Florian call the action. The show spends time on the builders too: who they are, how the machine was built, what the strategy is going in.
