Synopsis

A calmer man named Jack is always nearby, ready to offer a way out. But Hou doesn't frame this as a love triangle — he turns it into something closer to a trance. The handheld camera floats around Vicky rather than analyzing her, and the film's slow drift through noise and silence makes the toxic cycle feel almost physical.
