Synopsis
Flashbacks of a Fool (2008) is a drama you can watch online on iFILM. Daniel Craig plays Joe Scott, a burnt-out Hollywood star whose career now survives on old posters, whisky and a beach house that's gone very quiet.
Joe's days blur together — the pool, anonymous women, boredom, and his deadpan assistant Ophelia hovering nearby. One phone call breaks the loop: Boots, his boyhood best friend, has died. The news pulls Joe into a long flashback to a 1970s English seaside town, where a teenage version of himself fell in love for the first time, crossed a line he shouldn't have, and made a mistake he'd spend decades carrying. The supporting cast includes Harry Eden, Helen McCrory, Olivia Williams, Claire Forlani and a young Felicity Jones.
Director Baillie Walsh came up through music videos, and it shows: lots of pop songs, bleached sunlight and a slow ache of regret.
