Synopsis
Flowers Season 2 (2016) brings six more episodes of the British tragicomedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The story jumps a couple of years on: it's summer, the Flowers house is crowded again, and everyone is pretending, in their own way, that things have settled.
Maurice is on medication and seems steadier — just as Deborah's "misery memoir" about his breakdown heads to print, which cuts deeper than either of them admits. The real engine of the season is Amy. She becomes consumed by the story of her magician grandfather Felix and an old book by the mysterious Baumgaertner, drifting further into a private world while the family starts to fear she's tracing Maurice's path. Gentle Shun is once again stuck between the warring couple. Don't expect it to go easy on you; the comedy still grows straight out of the pain.
Will Sharpe again writes, directs and co-stars alongside Olivia Colman and Julian Barratt. The finale breaks ordinary narrative form and hands the characters the freedom to choose their own ending. This run is bolder and more visually ambitious than the first. Stream all episodes of Flowers Season 2 on iFILM.
