An inescapable fate. A desire that calls for blood.
Synopsis
The Bequeathed (2024), Season 1 is a Korean mystery thriller you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes that begin when Yoon Seo-ha inherits a family burial ground from an uncle she never knew existed.
The inheritance is where everything cracks open. At the funeral a man turns up calling himself her half brother, and bodies start surfacing around the old graveyard. Seo-ha suspects her new relative; the police drag their feet on an arrest, so she hires a private investigator instead. Detective Choi digs into the suspect's shamanic past, and the roots of these killings reach further down than any family feud. Six episodes, tightly kept: one village, one grave, one secret that refuses to stay buried.
Made for Netflix and adapted from a webtoon, this is a dense one-sitting miniseries with no padded subplots. It lands for anyone who likes Korean crime drama with folk dread running under the realism. Stream The Bequeathed Season 1 online on iFILM.
