Synopsis
Upright (2022), Season 2 picks the story back up and you can watch it online on iFILM — eight more episodes of the Australian dramedy, now with Lucky a successful musician who has just gotten used to a settled life when a grown-up Meg crashes back into it.
The dry outback gives way to the humid tropics of Far North Queensland, and the new mission is to track down Meg's mother. The journey runs by road and by river, deep into the rainforest. Someone from Meg's past is on her trail, Lucky's old mistakes keep surfacing, and the search eventually lands the pair inside a creepy wellness commune that does not welcome visitors. Each stop along the way turns the hunt for one mum into a bigger question about what family even means.
Tim Minchin returns as Lucky and again created the series. This run is stranger and sharper than the first, yet the chemistry between the two leads is exactly intact. Stream Upright Season 2 online on iFILM.
