This run keeps poking at the country's worst teacher in new ways. It opens at the school swimming gala, where his class somehow ends up doing synchronised diving. Then a smooth new American teacher waltzes in and takes the class clean off him, which does nothing for Alfie's ego. Deputy head Miss Pickwell turns up dead and the whole school reels. Mr Fraser stages a Take Me Out knockoff to pair up the shy kids for Valentine's Day, a Drugs Awareness session goes sideways, and by the finale Abbey Grove is broke and needs saving — by Alfie, of all people.
